The political leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Etinan Local Government Area, Otuekong Sunny Jackson has described the recently concluded Ward, Local Government and State Congresses of the party as the most peaceful in the country, attributing it to political maturity of members of the party in the state.

Fielding questions from newsmen in Etinan, Otuekong Jackson said the successful outcome of the congresses places the party in pole position to capture power in 2019.

“Through the conduct of our members, our congresses were held without any record of violence or other forms of irregularities. I believe Akwa Ibom APC conducted the most peaceful congresses in the country, this is because as a cohesive party, we are committed to ensuring that we consolidate on the determination of members to win the state for APC in 2019.”

He commended all stakeholders in the party for agreeing to integrate interests and work in unison for the success of the party.

“The APC has become stronger; that manifests in the decision by stakeholders to join forces and work for the singular objective of winning 2019. There is peace and consensus among all our members. We are happy about that.”

Otuekong Sunny Jackson congratulated members of the newly elected state exco of the party led by Mr. Ini Okopido and implored them to work assiduously by ensuring the dreams of the party come to fruition.
